Herbicide tolerant cotton varieties have been available since 1995. According to Dr. Peter Dotray, Weed Specialist for TexasTechUniversity, weed management systems have changed dramatically since the development of these varieties.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

Dotray believes this year’s introduction of Roundup Ready flex technology will mean even more changes for producers.

Suggested introduction cut 3:

Weed resistance to glyphosate has been confirmed in a number of different weed species and must be considered as producers control weeds in the future. According to Dotray the use of additional modes of action will be an excellent start.
