Glyphosate-Resistant Horseweed or “Mare’s tail” was first identified in Missouri in 2000.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is three cuts.  All cuts are Dr. Andy Kendig, Extension Weed Specialist for the University of Missouri – Delta Center.

Glyphosate-Resistant Horseweed or “Mare’s tail” was first identified in Missouri in 2000. According to Dr. Andy Kendig, Extension Weed Specialist for the University of Missouri, the resistant weed is becoming an increaseing problem for no-till cotton producers.

Kendig says they have learned a lot from their research.

According to Kendig he has seen some preliminary results with a later burn down treatment.
