ABSTRACT

Increasing demands for quality control in the yarn mill call for continuous on-line monitoring. The latest advance in on-line monitoring is slub detection for sliver. The world's first commercially available on-line slub detection system is described. Field experience has shown that on-line slub detection leads to early detection and correction of slub-related problems.
