CONTROL OF YARN EVENNESS THROUGH ON-LINE SIGNAL PROCESSING

ABSTRACT

A data acquisition system for capturing analog signals from Uster Tester-3R is introduced. A linear relationship can be shown between the masses of the fiber assemblies and the amplitudes of the output signals. Time series models have been developed and applied to the mass profiles of a sliver. A statistical model is proposed for separating the input variance and the process variance. A spline method and a cross spectrum analysis have demonstrated that the density profiles of a sliver and the resulting roving are strongly correlated and the relationship can be traced effectively.
