I have no way of knowing what or how much you have heard or read about the 1985 cotton team trip to the Soviet Union, but this is my version.

Team members were Sykes Martin of Courtland, Alabama, a producer and Chairman of the Producers Steering Committee; Leon Mears, Director of Cotton and Seeds Division, Foreign Agricultural Service, USDA, and Robert Koopman, USDA economist, and myself.I was also a member of the 1976 cotton team to the Soviet Union.
