ABSTRACT

A quaternary ammonium compound was field applied to seed cotton. Treated and control cotton was ginned to obtain lint of 7, 8, and 9 percent moisture regain. The bales were stored in a controlled environment for 18 months. The bales containing the most moisture produced dusts with the greatest microbiological activities.
