Influence of Nitrogen Rate, Irrigation Regime, Row Spacing, and Pix® on Boll Periods

T.A. Kerby, H. Yamadi, K. Brittan, and A. Hyer

ABSTRACT

Adjusting nitrogen rates, irrigation levels, reducing row spacing, and use of Pix® have all been evaluated for short season cotton production practices. Earliness for short season production systems can result from either elimination of late season bolls (cut out) and/or decreased boll period.
