A replica-plating procedure for identification of viable bacteria obtained from plates in a cascade impactor was developed. The procedure is based on the use of selective and differential media and incubation conditions that allow for growth of the major gram-negative bacteria in airborne dusts. The methods were applied to airborne dusts obtained in the exposure rooms during, the human exposure experiments at Clemson (MQ-148). |
