Aeromechanical methods have been developed to separate and aerodynamically classify foreign matter in cotton, including respirable dust, and form the basis of the Microdust aid Trash Monitor. Coupled with electro-optical methods to monitor the outputs, these methods can be used to determine the dust potential of cotton, to provide gram quantities of dust for analysis, and to provide a controlled system for real-time animal or human exposure experiments. |
