A Selective Ginning Process for Cotton

L.H. Wilkes, K.E. Watkins, and W.F. Lalor

ABSTRACT

A new ginning process has been developed which removes a portion of the lint from the seed. The amount of lint removed can be varied. The fiber removed by this machine is longer and more uniform than the conventional saw-gin process. The remaining fibers have properties similar to standard saw-ginned cotton.
