ABSTRACT

COTMAN is a computer-aided expert system for late-season COTton MANagement. This system incorporates plant monitoring, current and long-term weather, and farm and field information for efficient late-season decision-making. It can be used at either field or farm level by growers, extension agents and consultants. COTMAN functions as a decision-aid to the diagnosis of plant growth status, timing of termination of insecticide application, timing of defoliation and harvest scheduling. Both Windows and DOS versions are available on IBM PC compatible.
