ABSTRACT
A series of three trials was done in the southern high plains of Texas in which Dipel ES was applied through center-pivot irrigation systems to cotton for bollworm control. This was done by crop consultants under commerial IPM conditions in which typical pest control decisions were made. Dipel ES proved to be efficacious with results equaling those obtained from chemical insecticides applied in conventional equipment. The need for treatment of secondary pests (aphids) was reduced when use of broad-spectrum insectcides was avoided.
