Performance of Pirate™ Insecticide-Miticide Against Mid- And Late-Season Cotton Insect Pests

J. Whitehead and K. Treacy

ABSTRACT

PIRATE(AC 303,630), insecticide-miticide was evaluated across the cotton belt to determine insecticidal and miticidal activity against mid- and late-season cotton insect pests during 1993. PIRATE applied at 0.05 - 0.35 lb AI/A provided commercially acceptable control of beet armyworm, loopers, spider mites and Heliothis/Helicoverpa spp. on cotton. American Cyanamid foresees PIRATE becoming a valuable pest management tool in a cotton production program.
