Insecticide Resistance: Strategies for 1994 and Beyond

B. E. Melin

ABSTRACT

Insecticide resistance has been and will continue to be a major problem in modern agricultural systems. The use of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) insecticides such as DiPel ES can be an effective means of managing the development of resistance. Results are discussed of 1992 cotton field trials with DiPel ES, alone or in combination with synthetic pyrethroids and organophosphates.
