Use of a true ground speed sensor to control planting and spraying operations can significantly improve tractor/implement performance and reduce costs. The true ground speed sensor is compatible with several monitoring systems, and the integration of multiple systems to optimize tractor operation will be reviewed. Operational factors which enhance system accuracy will be presented.
