Ginning facilities located within city limits are beginning to face environmental pressures, especially in the way they handle their cotton gin waste. Duncan Gin, Inc. has taken the necessary steps to address these environmental concerns by developing a cotton waste storage and handling system which promotes the composting process and offers potential new markets for composted waste. A number of operational modifications have been made to the gin's new waste handling system.
