Variations in Boll Weevil Density Between and Within Years and Implications for Boll Weevil Eradication Costs

ABSTRACT

Boll weevil numbers have been increasing in Mississippi since the hard winter of 1990. The increase in boll weevil numbers may increase boll weevil eradication costs as the eradication program moves across the Mid-South and the Mississippi cotton acreage.
