U.S. Cotton Outlook

Leslie A. Meyer, Robert Skinner

ABSTRACT

The U.S. upland and extra-long staple (ELS) cotton supply and demand situation and outlook are analyzed and discussed. Production and use are projected to increase in 1994/95 for both upland and ELS cotton. However, while ELS stocks may decline from this season, upland stocks are likely to expand modestly, but remain near the 30 percent stocks-to-use target.
