Cotton Monitoring in Practice: Mid-South and Southeast Approaches

William H. McCarty

ABSTRACT

Plant monitoring, when properly conducted and applied, can be a beneficial compliment to a cotton management system. Even when conducted to the height of precision, it is only a supplement to, and not a substitution for, sound management. Plant monitoring is a tool, which when coupled with other management tools, can help growers or other professional crop managers make better and more informed decisions.
