Mark D. Lange

ABSTRACT

This report considers the forces shaping the world cotton industry for the next ten years. The presentation is intended to analyze recent international developments and to provide a conjecture about the future. The forces which challenge the U.S. cotton industry are pervasive and dynamic. Maintaining a lead in technology, a strong industry coalition and a solid partnership with government will be essential in facing the uncertain future.
