ABSTRACT
Seventeen cotton growers practicing reduced tillage in Southeast Missouri were surveyed. Questions concerning the reasons for using reduced tillage, the components of the reduced tillage system, weed control and fertility placement were asked of the growers. Of those asked, reduction in wind damage and reduced inputs were the major reasons for using reduced tillage. Weed control was not a major problem for those surveyed. There were nineteen minimum tillage cultivators used by the growers. There was a tendency to sidedress fertilizer. The yield varied from .75 to 2.25 bales per acre.
