Managing Cotton for Optimum (Non-Stress) Growth

Keith L. Edmisten

ABSTRACT

Stress can be caused by a number of factors including disease, dry weather, excess water, herbicide injury, high temperatures, insect pressure, low fertility, low light levels, low temperatures, nematodes, sand blasting and shading. Identifying, preventing and alleviating the stress cotton is subjected to is a very difficult task.
