Chemical Cultivation Using Shielded Sprayers and Roundup Herbicide

K.W. Brower

ABSTRACT

One of the major objectives of the cotton grower is to produce high quality cotton that meets or exceeds the expectations of the consumer, while making a reasonable profit. One important aspect of high quality cotton production is in-season weed control. Traditionally, cotton growers have turned to mechanical cultivation, and more recently, to selective postemergent herbicides for this weed control. However, a new alternative exists that provides excellent weed control while offering many other benefits ... chemical cultivation using a shielded sprayer and Roundup herbicide.
