ABSTRACT
The whitefly in Arizona is not a cotton or vegetable problem; it is an agricultural problem. It may even be more than that because we have a lot of urban agricultural interface areas, particularly in Maricopa County, and there are a lot of backyard plantings that are proving to be good host plants for the whitefly. We're not exactly sure how important these are to our whitefly problem, but we do know it is something similar to what John Norman just described for south Texas. We apparently have the same situation in Arizona.
