GOSSYM/COMAX Predicted Concentrations as a Basis for Timing Pix Applications

R.E. Childers, L.B. Wilde, and T.E. Buscha

ABSTRACT

Irrigated picker and dryland stripper tests were conducted to determine the effect of using GOSSYM/COMAX predicted concentrations for timing Pix applications. Irrigated test results indicate maximum yields were obtained by using GOSSYM/COMAX to time applications at the 2-3 ppm level. This treatment produced plant height reductions equivalent to those obtained from conventional low-rate-multiple applications while using only 50 percent as much product. Dryland tests did not produce any conclusive results.
