The Use of Briquetting in Textile Waste Disposal

P.D. Moss

ABSTRACT

Cotton Textile Processing always produces textile "waste". Much of this waste contains reclaimable fibers which can be used in the same, or another, textile processing plant. This reclaimation process leaves a much lower grade of waste which is unusable in textile processing. The disposal of this waste can present expensive and ecologically-sensitive problems. The process of briquetting can put this waste in a much more easily handled form and in some cases put it in a which has beneficial secondary uses.
