Influence of Various In-Furrow Insecticide Treatments on Yield in Narrow Row and Normal Plantings of Cotton

William P. Scott and Donny A. Adams

ABSTRACT

Cotton grown in 30-inch and 38-inch plantings near Scott, Mississippi received aldicarb and acephate in-furrow at planting and foliar applications of dimethoate after plant emergence to control early season pest in 1991. Yield in both in-furrow treatments was higher yield per acre in both row spacings when compared to the acephate and dimethoate treatments.
