A Scouting Protocol for Arthropod Pests of Cotton

Michael R. Williams, Terence L. Wagner, Jeffery L. Willers and Richard L. Olson

ABSTRACT

Cotton scouting has evolved from a simple procedure of walking through fields looking for insect pests and then making cut and dried' decisions to understanding interrelationships between the cotton crop, pests, chemicals, and economics. For this reason a simple set of 'how to' instructions is timely for making acceptable decisions in managing cotton.
