Under adverse soil conditions, subsurface drip irrigation of cotton can provide significantly higher yields than furrow irrigation, and on most soils subsurface drip will require a much less water. Installation procedure, mechanical operations, drip system monitoring and control, and furrow irrigation scheduling are discussed. |
