Lethal time (LT) 90% of "ebony" strain boll weevil, Anthonomus grandis Boh. was 0.27, 1.5 and 21.1 min. for resmethrin, propoxur, and chlorpyriphos at ca 20% concentrations, in controlled release Polyvinyl Chloride strips, respectively. When cypermethrin was incorporated into a shellac-based coating at 1 to 2%, LT(90) was ca 8 days in a petri dish bioassay.
