Performance of Curacron in Resistance Management Strategies

K.D. Brown, Jr., W.W. Bachman, and D.V. Allemann

ABSTRACT

CURACRON provided significantly better control of Heliothis virescens larvae from several confirmed field control failures in 1990 than did synthetic pyrethroids or a carbamate tested. Current resistance management strategies do not provide for tankmixing larvicides. Tankmixes that provide potentiation or synergism could extend the useful life of several of these insecticides that are experiencing reduced efficacy.
