Spatial Distribution of CO2 Within the Face Array

Deorge Hendrey, Keith Lewin, and Zbignew Kolber

ABSTRACT

control of CO2 concentrations within the Free-Air Carbon Dioxide Enrichment (FACE) array is based on measurement of samples drawn from the center of the FACE plot at the top of the canopy. At that locus the concentration is maintained to within about ±20% of the setpoint. Obtaining these data was time consuming and an integrated view of spatial distributions within the FACE array could only be achieved after considerable delay.
