Estimating Future Cotton Fiber Quality Requirements

Edward H. Glade, Jr. and Harold Stults

ABSTRACT

This article discusses the objectives, methodology, and current status of a large scale cooperative research project designed to measure the future demand for specific fiber properties. Fiber property requirements are measured in terms of their potential application in major end-uses. Preliminary results of selected market demand projections are also presented.
