Economic Adjustments of Cooperative Oil Mills

ABSTRACT

The 1980's were a period of major challenges for cottonseed oil mills. They responded to these challenges by significant economic adjustments to increase their efficiency. Some of these improvements are analyzed in this paper by using data from an annual survey of five oil mills. The data are a relatively small sample Identification of trends and adjustments with a sample of this size the use of various techniques of data analysis and these are briefly described.
