Development of an Attracticide for the Boll Weevil

J.E. Wright and L.D. Chandler

ABSTRACT

An attracticide for adult boll weevils was developed in the laboratory and successfully evaluated under field conditions for overwintered weevils in the spring and dispersing adults in the fall. The attracticide consists of a combination of a feeding substrate, pheromone, and an entonopathogenic fungus.
