Cottonseed Storage Buildings for Gins and Dairy Farms in Missouri

D.L. Williams, N.F. Meador, and Van H. Ayers

ABSTRACT

With changes occurring in feeding methods on dairy farms in Missouri, it is becoming important for dairy producers and cotton processors in the state to have adequate storage for whole cottonseed. Based on appropriate criteria in the dairy producing region of Southwest Missouri, blueprints have been developed for a bulk storage shed for dairy farms. Progress is being made toward the development of plans for a bulk seed storage facility in Southeast Missouri suitable for storing 1,000 to 2,500 tons of seed.
