U.S.M. (Uprooter/Shredder/Mulcher)

Yarron Ben-Dor

ABSTRACT

The U.S.M. (Uprooter/Shredder/Mulcher) machine has been in use in the U.S. for three consecutive years, mainly in California, Arizona and Georgia.

More than 50 different growers have adopted the U.S.M. system as their future method of performing land preparation.

A three-year study at the University of Arizona and reports from growers show a saving of $30 to $50 per acre by using the U.S.M. versus the conventional tillage system.
