Blooms were tagged for three years on various privately owned drip irrigated cotton fields with the purpose of seeing the significance of late season fruit. Only 14% of the yield was found to come from blooms set on and after peak bloom. Generally, 500 HU(60m) are required to allow a bloom even to have a chance at producing lint. |
