Ideal Cotton Quality Evaluation and Marketing System

Emmanuel Duclert

ABSTRACT

A Western European spinner can buy cotton from any producing country. The main potential supplier of cotton in the world is the U.S.A. Big progress has already been made for cotton quality evaluation from a technical viewpoint. Ideal technical cotton quality evaluation is quite easy to imagine. Nevertheless, the human eye still remains an indispensable factor. But there is still a gap between cotton produced and cotton required. Monetary incentives must be found to lower that gap. An ideal marketing system is something we have to work on all alone the line.
