Foliar urea nitrogen applications are used by many cotton producers to enhance boll development during the growing season. TRISERT-CB (26-0-0-.5B) contains triazone nitrogen which gives the product a higher total nitrogen content, lower salt-out index and greater stability than urea-based products. Nitrogen losses from ammonium volatilization are less from triazone than urea. Foliar nitrogen absorption and translocation within plant tissue has been enhanced by the application of triazone nitrogen.
