Effects of Herbicides and Other Soil-Applied Pesticides on Earliness: Enhancement, Retardation and Phytotoxicity

C.M. Bonner

ABSTRACT

The use of soil-applied pesticides in cotton pest management programs creates a potential for retardation or phytotoxicity in certain situations. However, with caution and proper application most of these problems can be minimized. With certain soil insecticides the potential increase in earliness and yield is significant for certain areas of the cottonbelt.
