HVI Strength and Strength Premiums at PCCA

Emerson E. Tucker

ABSTRACT

In 1982 the Board of Directors of American Cotton Growers (ACG) initiated a strength premium program which, over the past five years, has returned to the producer members $5.6 million in strength premium payments. This popular and productive program was carried forward by Plains Cotton Cooperative Association (PCCA) which purchased ACG in August of 1987.
