Cotton Model Calibration Efforts for Stressed Conditions

G.L. Barker, D.F. Wanjura and J.E. Quisenberry

ABSTRACT

A research oriented simulation model of the generalized crop production system on the Southern Great Plains is needed for evaluating aspects of specific systems and subsystems such as water stress, temperature stress, and nutrient stress. A physiologically detailed plant model will provide a research base for improving the mechanistic description of plant and soil processes essential for efficient survival under stressed conditions.
