Tillage and Controlled Traffic Studies with the Stoneville Wide Bed System

J.R. Williford

ABSTRACT

Field studies indicate that the wide bed system can be effectively used as a controlled traffic system. At the end of seven years, no production problems had developed with the wide bed, controlled traffic system. Production and traffic zones could easily be relocated each year in the same location as in the previous year. Primary tillage within the production zone did not significantly increase yield except in one year.
