The Effects of Span Length on Uniformity Index

R.S. Krowicki

ABSTRACT

Fibrogram theory based on probability is discussed. Theoretical and instrumentally measured 50% and 2.5% span lengths, and uniformity indices are compared. The measured parameters vary from the theoretical because of the measurement start point of 3.81 mm, and the width of the detector lens. The uniformity index decreases with an increase in span length for similar fiber length distributions.
