Narrow-Row Cotton in South Texas

Richard Kotzur

ABSTRACT

Narrow-row cotton works well in our operation due in part to less overall machinery being needed in this cotton and grain sorghum operation. The farm operation is convinced that there is reduced row cultivation due to the narrow-row concept. We will not go back to the conventional row concept unless new research indicates greater economic opportunity exists by doing so.
