Early Season Control of Insects and Mites: Compatibility with the Concept of IPM in Cotton

ABSTRACT

The history and concepts of IPM in cotton are reviewed and some problems and advantages of early season insect control are discussed. Ecological and economic considerations are pointed out. The advantages of earliness in crop maturity should be a major consideration in today's production system.
