Application of Cotton Simulation Model GOSSYM to Yield Decline in Cotton: III. Analysis of Effects of Atmospheric Ozone and Carbon Dioxide on Yield Trends

V.R. Reddy and D.N. Baker

ABSTRACT

To analyze the effects of atmospheric ozone and dioxide on cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) yield declines since 1965, simulations were made using the cotton crop model GOSSYM. Data for the simulations were obtained from cotton breeder sites located at Florence, SC; Stoneville, MS; College Station, TX; Lubbock, TX; Phoenix, AZ; and Fresno, CA.
