The spatial distribution of the colonizing parent generation and subsequent within-field dispersion of the Fl and F2 generations of pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella Saunders, in a commercial Arizona cotton field is examined. The spatial dynamics are visualized by the construction of a series of three isarithmic maps depicting pink bollworm density over the field. The Kriged maps are based on model semi-variograms which permit optimal interpolation between sample points. |
