Performance of the Selective Gin

L.H. Wilkes, K.E. Watkins, and W.F. Lalor

ABSTRACT

The experimental selective cotton ginning process was evaluated with four varieties of cotton grown in Texas. Evaluation of the new ginning process was made by comparing the lint fiber with standard saw ginned cotton. Samples from each ginning process and variety were also subjected to both open end and ring spinning.
